How We’re Operating During the COVID-19 Pandemic
The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic has changed a lot of the ways UNC Cancer Center is providing care right now. The biggest shift is that some of your appointments may happen virtually. Our AYA team is doing a lot of our work this way – via phone, email, text, or video. This is really different from how we usually provide support.
What does all of this mean for you? We want you to know we’re still here to help and want to be available to you and your family/caregivers.
We are reaching out to patients by text, phone, video chats, and UNC MyChart messages. If you’re new to our program, you might be notified of a virtual appointment with one of our team members. During this video visit, you’ll learn more about how we can help you and we’ll learn more about who you are and what is important to you in your cancer treatment process. If you haven’t met us yet, please contact us through the website, our email, or phone. We’d love to get to know you and figure out how we can help make your treatment a little easier!
